It is waterproof and impact-resistant plus nitrogen-filled and sealed with "o" rings, so it does not fog up inside. The red dot is powered by one CR2 battery, which is common especially for cameras. When turned on, the last selected setting will kick in. Tracker will be turned off by holding the top button for approximately 4 seconds. Switching the dot color is done by holding the down button for approximately 4 seconds.
